Are you here for the first time? We hope to make you feel welcome. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you would be encouraged to know and become more like Jesus Christ.

What to expect when you visit:

Who are we?
Dawsonville Baptist Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome. You can find out more about us and what we believe here.

When to arrive:
If it’s your first visit then we would love to see you at 10:00 am for Sunday School (weekly Bible study). Please enter through the side door where someone will direct you to the appropriate Sunday School class for you and your family. If you are planning on simply attending the worship service for your first visit, you may join us in the sanctuary where we will begin our morning service at 11:00 am.

What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There may be some people in blue jeans, others in suits, and people wearing everything in between. Women wear both dresses and pants.

What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here’s a quick summary of what you can expect. You will find we are a friendly bunch, so if you don’t understand something please simply ask. We start Sunday school at 10:00 am with a few minutes of catching up with everyone and praying for each other before beginning our Bible study. Children and youth meet in separate classes according to age. Your child’s Sunday School teacher will show you where to pick up your child after class.

Our worship times at 11:00 am and consist hymns, modern worship songs, prayer, offering and a sermon. We also have a time set apart were children come up front for a brief children’s lesson.

A nursery is provided for the 11:00am service for children 4 and under.

For those with disabilities:
We try to be as accessible as possible and do have handicap restrooms. Please contact the church if you have any specific questions.
